Life On Pointe by Tereza Bila
Tereza Bila is a professional pointe dancer and director of the Czech National Ballet. In “Life On Pointe”, Bila portrays ballerinas’ acceptance of the balance that pain and pleasure play in performing such a demanding art form. Five principal ballerinas of the Czech National Theatre open up to Tereza in an unflinching portrait of bodies pushed to the limit. She reveals the discipline and emotion involved not only when dancers step onto the stage, but in the hours and years that precede the moment of performance. Length: 4:29 min
