Hey there, everyone! It’s Friday which means I’m here to let you know what I found on Towwn to keep me busy.
Last week we lost one of my heroes, someone who fought for justice and equality. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a giant in making the US a better place, especially for women. She inspired many, including myself, to fight for what they believe in and to speak up in the face of injustice. I’ve chosen to dedicate part of my weekend to watching the documentary about her. “RBG” is an intimate portrait of Ruth’s story and early legal battles that truly changed our world. May her memory be a blessing and her story continue to be told.

Next week, I am looking forward to the live stream concert, “There’s an Election Going On.” This show will feature Devon Gilfillion and others performing songs from Marvin Gaye’s classic album “What’s Going On” and other songs of freedom and community. There will also be an auction and all proceeds will be going to a grassroots non-profit called The Equity Alliance. I love that artists are using music to bring people together, now more than ever. Plus, who doesn’t love Marvin Gaye?

Towwn has helped me find so many interesting and new things I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I truly don’t know how I would find things to do without it. I highly recommend these events, but if you’re not interested in these, there are plenty of various events on Towwn like artist interviews, live stream concerts, documentaries about music, dance and art. Plus we curate the best cultural podcasts. I know it’s made my life much more entertaining. Let me know if you liked these events in the comments!
Until next time,
Keighlee
