New York City Ballet’s Spring Season

From April 21st through May 29th, the New York City Ballet presents digital streams of two ballets each week along with a full slate of interesting online programming including a podcast series and live-streamed movement classes for all ages.

Weekly ballet performances

Every Tuesday and Friday at 8 PM EDT, catch works from the NYCB repertory for 72 hours on their YouTube channel, Facebook page, and on the home page of the NYC Ballet. Beginning April 20, each Monday will see a new release from City Ballet The Podcast, with nine all-new episodes featuring discussions on some of the ballets included in the digital season programming. http://podcast.nycballet.com/

Online Movement Classes

Wednesday With Wendy, a series of ballet-inspired movement classes taught by NYCB Associate Artistic Director, Wendy Whelan, on Instagram Live.

Ballet Essentials Online

Fans around the world can now attend Ballet Essentials, NYCB’s in-demand movement workshops, online starting Thursday, April 23 at 6 PM EDT. Each Ballet Essentials workshop will be conducted by NYCB artists who will lead viewers through a ballet warm-up and movement combination inspired by iconic works by Balanchine, Robbins, and other choreographers. These workshops are suitable for people of all ages and training. Learn more.

Ballet Breaks

Join the artists of New York City Ballet for a series of lively Saturday and Sunday morning movement activities, perfect for children ages 3–8. Each 20-minute virtual Ballet Break will include a warm-up and choreography inspired by some of NYCB’s most beloved ballets. Registration is required.
