In the first decade of the twentieth century, John Brisben Walker had a vision of artists performing on a stage nestled in the perfectly acoustic surroundings of Red Rocks, which likely were used by the Ute tribe in earlier times. The city of Denver bought 728 acres from Walker in 1928 for $54,000 and started construction. Red Rocks Amphitheater was opened to the public in June 1941. The Beatles performed there in 1964; U2’s infamous “Under The Blood Red Sky” concert took place in 1983.
While most of us thought Red Rocks would be quiet this summer, a few folks have decided to host a concert (albeit with no fans).

Catch Colorado’s own Big Head Todd & The Monters perform a full set at Red Rocks tonight at 7 pm MT. We’re hoping the show is a success so more of our favorite musicians and bands perform on this iconic stage this summer.
Fire up the grill, pour a few cocktails and virtually stream tonight’s show. https://bit.ly/2Yv7tvn
